About Little Lambs

Little Lambs is a warm, faith-based Parent & Caregiver play group created to welcome families with babies, toddlers, and preschool-aged children in Garden Grove and the surrounding Orange County community. Rooted in Christian love and community, Little Lambs is a gentle space where little children can explore and grow—and where grown-ups can connect, exhale, and feel supported during the early years of parenting. Whether you’re a parent, grandparent, or caregiver, you are welcome here. Expectant moms are warmly invited to join us too!

A Special Place for New Moms, Postpartum Support & Encouragement

The transition into motherhood can be beautiful, meaningful, and deeply challenging all at the same time. If you are a mom struggling with emotional overwhelm or postpartum depression—feeling isolated, down, exhausted, or simply not yourself, please know that you are not alone and are very much welcome here! 

Little Lambs offers a warm, Christ-centered community for moms to connect with other parents and caregivers, share life’s joys and burdens, and receive encouragement.

While your little one enjoys free play, you are invited to slow down, build relationships, and find support in others who also understand the challenges of this season. 

If you arrive feeling discouraged or exhausted, our hope is that you leave feeling seen, a little more connected, and reminded that you do not have to walk this season alone.

  • FREE! We never want cost to be a barrier for families! If you would like to support the ministry, optional donations are always appreciated and help provide snacks and other supplies. Whether or not you donate, you and your little ones are warmly welcome.

What to expect at little lambs

Moments of music, song, and prayer

Occasional holiday or seasonal themed crafts

Each gathering at Little Lambs includes plenty of free play with age-appropriate toys, music and movement, snack time, simple hands-on activities, and occasional seasonal crafts. Near the end of our time, we gather briefly for a friendly circle time with our lamb puppet, Lucy Lamb, followed by a short prayer that gently shares God's love in a way young hearts can receive.

Families are welcome to share prayer requests, either for group prayer or privately. Prayer requests may also be submitted discreetly by writing them down and placing them in our prayer box.

Little Lambs is designed with families in mind. Our drop-in class runs from 10:00 am to 11:30 am, and families are welcome to arrive whenever it works best for them. There is no requirement to arrive "on time," no expectation of attending every session, and no pressure to commit long-term. Come when it works for your family, and stay as long as you're able.

Our hope is that Little Lambs becomes a place of friendship, community, and parenting support while reflecting God’s love in ways that feel natural, nurturing, and age-appropriate for both little ones and the adults who care for them.

    The early years of parenting can be joyful, exhausting, beautiful, and sometimes isolating. We believe families were never meant to walk those years alone.

    At Little Lambs, our hope is to create a Christian, family-centered community where parents and caregivers feel known, welcomed, and cared for. Whether you're navigating sleepless nights, postpartum recovery, big emotions, parenting challenges, or simply looking for friendship and connection, there is a place for you here.

    We believe God meets families right where they are. Our hope is that you leave Little Lambs feeling a little more encouraged, supported, and connected than when you arrived.

We would love to welcome you and your little ones to Little Lambs at King of Kings Evangelical Lutheran Church in Garden Grove. Drop in on the days and times that work best for your family—whether you arrive right at 10:00 a.m. or partway through class.

Pre-registration is appreciated but not required. Families are always welcome to simply drop in and join us on any of our session dates.
